2012 Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity Between Generations
The 2012 European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity Between Generations launches on 1 January 2012. 5050vision will be looking to work with stakeholders who are planning projects/events. Details can be found here

5050vision 'Staying Connected' conference
5050vision jointly hosted a conference with Future North West ond 2 November 2011. The conference title was 'Staying Connected' and agenda items included: transport, the digital agenda and loneliness. the keynote speaker was Charlie Massey, Director for the Ageing Society and State Pensions, Department for Work and Pensions. Workshops were held in the afternoon on Transport, digital inclusion and combating loneliness & isolation, following a presentation from Professor Tarani Chandola, Manchester University on Health Effects of Later Life Working.
Around 120 people attended the conference which was held at the Best Western Park Hall Hotel, Leisure and Conference Centre, Park Hall Road, Charnock Richard, Chorley, PR7 5LP.
