Skills development and life-long learning for older people - Event in Dusseldorf

The Ministry for Generations, Family, Women and Integration of North Rhine-Westphalia together with the "Silver Economy Network of European Regions (SEN@ER)" (www.silvereconomy-europe.org) are holding a workshop:

"Skills development and life-long learning for older people" to take place in Düsseldorf, 15 September 2010.

This workshop, together with a series of further ones aims at the development of a European exchange of information on activities and initiatives in different European regions in these areas, the identification of areas for cooperation which could lead to the establishment of partner consortia and the development and submission of project proposals to European Commission funding programmes.

The plan is to be ready with European project proposals in time for the coming round of European Commission Calls for Proposals later this year and in early 2011. The workshop will also provide an opportunity and platform for discussion of and agreement on possible cooperation activities as part of the upcoming European Year for Active Ageing & Intergenerational Solidarity 2012.
