Barriers to Employment
The employment levels for people aged over 50 in Blackburn with Darwen are significantly lower than for the general working age population. The 50+ Partnership along with the Borough Council commissioned research by the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES) to identify the specific problems that local people are facing when trying to get back into employment.
