In May 2009 5050vision and the NWDA commissioned a review of employer attitudes towards older workers (50+) and of the attitudes of older workers themselves in small businesses across the North West of England.
The objectives of this review were to test the results obtained by the pilot study, undertaken prior to the introduction in October 2006 of new regulations outlawing discrimination on the grounds of age; to present recommendations for action by key agencies and partners and to support the implementation of the Regional Strategy in the North West.
